Geneva Jacuzzi’s Casket.

“Best Music Video”

★★★★

“A visual extravaganza full of colour and nostalgia.”

Geneva Jacuzzi’s Casket is a visual extravaganza full of colour and nostalgia. This music video feels like it’s been ripped straight out of 80s electronic music from Germany and works just as well today.

What stands out most is director and VFX artist Chris Friend’s incredible visual storytelling and visual effects work. Even though the style of the video is scaled down and on a budget, it doesn’t feel that way as the VFX holds everything together and creates a unique look not seen in music videos today. Friend demonstrates his depth of skills by being able to make each scene a visual cacophony in an otherwise short piece.

The edit feels almost like one shot, drawing you in closer and closer as you wait for what’s coming next. Great time and dedication has been spent here and is evident in every scene.

The music itself is of course worth mentioning as Geneva Jacuzzi proves to capture the heart and essence of electronic pop music. She also delivers a range of performances throughout which is impressive. We recommend everyone check out more of her music as we’re sure you’ll enjoy it.

This video is a shining example of being able to create something the audience want to watch over and over to discover something they might have missed. Chris Friend delivers on this exciting and bold music video that audiences of all types will love.
