“Koteva is magnetic on screen and delivers a powerful story”

Young and career focused theatre actress finds herself facing a life-changing decision, whilst pressured by time after falling in love with an introverted writer, whose dark side is about to come to light. A story, which questions the price of our dreams and our true values.

This abstract drama from director Stanislav Hristov and writer Mira Koteva is an exceptionally beautiful piece which jumps through the past, present and future in dramatic fashion.

What’s also impressive is that Koteva stars in the film in dual roles, and doesn’t disappoint. She delivers a theme of melancholy and positivity which keeps the audience from losing interest. Koteva is magnetic on screen and delivers a powerful story.

Director of Photography Mihail Mihov creates a mood and look to the film which perfectly captures the excellent performances. So much so you often forget to consider what’s going on behind the lens and instead enjoy what’s on screen. The use of soft lighting and hint of bold colour gives the film a unique and memorable style not seen in other indie shorts.

The art direction, costumes and locations are stunning for this story and work perfectly. They create an atmospheric backdrop to give more meaning to the powerful and well written screenplay.

The score by Elina Hristova also can’t be missed, as it gives the already excellent performances more depth and meaning. It’s simple yet fitting for the piece and compliments it well.

Director Stanislav Hristov executes this film with precision and a deep understand of storytelling. The cut between past, present and future makes for an exciting and thought-provoking watch.

We thoroughly enjoyed this film and encourage other film enthusiasts to see it when you can.
